how to adjust the clutch cable in peugeot 406 ? help ?

its a self adjust clutch but theres is a lot of play in the pedal but it ant slipping can you help please

If you look at the cable end, where it connects into the clutch arm - can you see two nuts? If there aren't any, then the clutch is self adjusting. If there are two nuts - undo the outer one, followed by the inner one, until you can feel some free play when you pull the clutch arm forwards.
