Mend Sony CDX-FC132 Changer Ford Bought

how do i mend a cdx fc132 6cd changer from ford mondeo 03?

Recently bought an 03 mondeo TDCi which has a sony cdx - fc132 6cd changer radio fitted (standard).

Problem I have is the CD doesn't seem to be working. Every time I put a CD in it displays the error 'check CD' and spits the disc out. I've tried both commercial discs and ones I have burnt myself all with the same error.

I have the same radio or rather I did. ford has just informed me on a recent visit that the radio is dead (burned out) I think was the term the bloke used. Any idea where I can pick up a new one and are they still made.

i had the same problem on mine but all i done was cleaned the lens and bingo work,s fine only problem i have now is to get the lights to work on the facia

i have the same problem with mine, i own a ford mondeo 2004, i take it to the service and they told me that the mechanism was broken and it was need to replace, of course i did not believe it and the cost was too expensive, now i have the problem that i need the radio code and just in the dealer can give me, by the way do you have the owners manual?
