How can i fix my Renault Laguna Keycard?

Most of these so-called 'cheap repair' offers are a waste of time. The key is specific to one individual car, and as such, has to be reprogrammed by a Renault dealer with access to their central computer. Yes, its a rip-off by Renault, and will probably cost around £150 for a programmed replacement, but you're stuck with it. I HAVE TWO KEYS BUT JAST ONE KEY WORKING SECOND KEY DOSENT WORKING AND NO OPEN DOOR ALSO NOT STRAT CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS PROBLEM MAY BE KEY CARD PRAGRAM PROBLEM HOW MUCH COST ME THANKYOU MR POLAT

yep renault make the worst keys in the world,

new key and programming is about £150 from renault

if the key still works , ie the light still flashes , then it may need resycronising

to do this,

get into car dont put key in

now hold the central locking button down so it locks the doors

hold this until the car beebs or a red light (the immobiliser light ) appears on the dash and stays on

then click your keypad to open doors and again to lock doors

should be now syncronised

If it works then ive saved you £48 dealer costs

This only usually happens if the remote has lost all battery power, and been sitting dormant for a while , but generally batteries last years

Shake your card, does it rattle? If so one of the micro switches inside has come away from the PCB. This is a common fault as the soldered joints aren't great. Just dropping the card or putting it in your pocket is enough to flex the card and cause the switch to come off. It can be fixed. Check out this web site, repair is normally apporx £30.
