I need help! my washing machine Zanussi ZWF1621W is not working. When powered and program selected, the lights(LEDs) keep switching from one to the other in a cyclic fashion.

Can somebody advise me on the possible cause or causes

press and hold the 2 buttons on the right (start/pause and skip?).whilst pressing these turn the machine on.keep pressing the 2 buttons until it beeps.now let go of all the buttons,turn off machine then on then off then on.see if that reboots it.if not your main pcb has failed.
