My acoustic solutions hd tv turns it self to standby after turning it on?

i turn my tv on and then you hear the sound like normal but then it goes to standby after about 5 - 10 seconds. is this major problem?

I am no expert but am experiencing the same problem. I have taken it to the repair shop and he said the main board is faulty. Looking around the forums, this seems to be a common problem with these TVs. I am trying to find how expensive the board will be to replace it but I'm not holding my breath. I will keep you posted.
