Mend Miele S760 Red Light Model

The red light on my Miele hoover won't go off?

The model is a Miele cat&dog S760 hoover.
The hoover wasn't overheated as I had barely used it for about 2 mins when it switched itself off and the red light turned on.

We have checked for hose blockage and changed the bag(yes the bag was full) - but the red light continues.Any ideas?

Help - I am now hooverless!
