How can I fix Samsung Digimax s500 shutter zoom?

have the same problem with one of the cogs teeth broken off .... does anybody know where to find parts ????

I did what the suggestions said to do about the "popping it back in place". Mine was never fixed completely, every time I want to use the camera, I have to push and pull on the lense to help it out.

This sounds dumb, but honestly it worked.

I pushed down as hard as i could on the lens and I "popped" it back into place. Now it works fine. . .

i myself have the same problem and the only possibility for me is to cast the gear. i'm thinking of making it from lead because its easy to melt, cast and correct it. still, i don't know what to use to make the casting mould.

had the same problem and i noticed my lens got knocked crooked so I put it back straight and now its fine.

had the same problem, stripped the camera down and found 2 small plastic gears with one tooth stripped in the lens drive module,so far unable to find spare parts.
