How do I replace the shower hose on my Mira sport shower?

The hose on my shower has worn through. I have bought a generic replacement from DIY store. Changing showerhead end is easy but the other end is encased within the Mira sport shower unit. How do I get in? Is it safe to do so? Have I missed something more obvious?
