the dial to turn the shower on and off appears fine but when turned it makes a clunking noise and doesnt switch on. I thought that maybe someone turned it the wrong way and the cogs were forced out of allignment but when i took the cover off to look, it appears that the cogs are not desinged to meet anyway..??
same happened with ours and the replacement cover was just too much - it was either a 'quick fix' or a buy a whole new shower unit. My husband had a look at the cogs and put some standard sealant directly onto them and in between - quite generously - and fitted the cover back onto the unit. Please bear in mind that we thought this would keep the dial going whilst we bought a new one ....over 18 months later we are still waiting for it to fail or the clunking to return in the dial.

Common problem with these showers. Front cover with the cogs is broken due to someone turning the dial too hard.
Order a replacement cover part no. 95.614.193. Price is around £22 on-line. Try shower-warehouse.co.uk or shower-spares.co.uk. This has happened to me twice. Easy diy job.
