7 ERROR CODE ON MY PEUGEOT 106 CAR STEREO?

Car radios are so cheap now so why have this ridiculous code system; it's a nightmare! I'd rather have the radio pinched and get another without a code system than have this agro. On my Peugeot 306 I punched in 7 possible codes like 1111, 2222, 1234, etc but then the 7 Error display came up and the radio doesn't accept any more trials. As suggested, I'm leaving the radio on now and will see in a few hours if it has reset as has been suggeated. I have worked out a code using the last 4 digits of the serial number and hope that this advice will get things back to normal.

hi i have just replaced the top lambda sensor and the engine management light is still on how much will it cost me to get the garage to reset it

If you now have the correct code then start the procedure to enter the code....(ON button plus another?...**see below) ...then leave the radio switched ON ....UNDISTURBED ...for as long as it takes to reset itself automatically.(with 7 ERROR it should be around a couple of hours)

Then enter your code as normal.
