I am not sure if this will help but we had the same problem and my husband said it was something to do with the timer i.e. there was a lose connection to one of the wires when he took the front off. He could not fix it so we are going to buy a new timer.
It's worth looking at yours though as you never know it may be able to be repaired - good luck.
