How do I fix my Crusader Condenser Tumble Dryer, model 37667?

How do I fix my Crusader Condenser Tumble Dryer, model 37667, serial number 78103625. The machine works properly but only blows out cold air so does not dry anything. All filters have been newly cleaned and the water container emptied with no effect.

Dear All,
had the same problem, dryer working o.k. but no heat. Did what Ronnie & Brian suggested and hey presto! it worked (thanks guys). Has anyone found out where to get a replacement part from ?

Got the same problem Ronnie and had deduced it was the lower of the 2 thermistors (open cicuit at room temperature)before finding this post whilst looking for replacement part on web (had no luck and have emailed you for any supplier information you have). Too much of a coincidence ! Must be an inferior batch, but have had about 6 years and has been a great machine which is why I'd like to be able to find a supplier for a replacement part if possible. I will keep searching.

Hi again Kirsty,
I think I have found out the problem with my drier. I unpluged the drier, took the large metal cover off the back which covers over the heater. On the top of heater there are two thermal cut out's. Each cut out has two wires connected to it with spade terminals. Each in turn I slipped the
terminals off the thermal cut outs and conected the ends together (to bypass the thermal cut out) and the tried turning the drier on. Low and behold on bypassing the second thermal cut out the drier was working with heat again! I have removed the thermal cut out from the drier and intend taking it to my local spares centre tommorow to get a replacement. I have seen the same thermal cut out's advertised with online suppliers for £15.00 incl vat.

I hope this is the same problem as you have as it is a very easy fix and not too expensive. It is no more than removing a few screws to remove the cover. The thermal cut outs are easily removed with just one small screw holding them in place.

Please let me know how you go on

Kirsty I have the exact same tumble drier as you model 37667 and have the exact same problem as you have, clean filters, spinning fine but no heat! It has just happened 22/7/04. I have taken the back panel off and had a quick look to no avail. I think the next step will be to call out someone to have a look at it. If you have had any joy with yours will you please send me an e-mail with any advise you may have for me rhjoiner@ntlworld.com

many thanks
