creda 1200 excel w120vw-loud knocking noise?

just to let you know,it was the shaft needed to be replaced.the shaft is part of a cast alloy arm with three mounting points bolting it to the rear of the drum,you will need a 13mm socket or french spanner.when you remove the front panel you will see the drum it has clips around the outside.shaft cost £35 and took around an hour to fit.alot cheaper than a new machine.im off to the pub with my savings.
