There is a float switch in the bottom of the machine which cuts out the cycle when water builds up as a result of a leak in the system. Take off the left side panel and you will see a red rod connecting the float in the bottom of the machine to a small switch. Remove the water around the float allowing the switch to re-set. Machine will then operate. You will then need to find the source of the leak causing the problem.
