Mend Potterton 80i Boiler Pressure Error

Potterton Powermax 80i- lockout?

i have a powermax 80i which goes into lockout with an error E01. Looked in the manual and cannot find the E01 error listed... the gauge under the boiler is set at 1.5 bar and if the boiler is reset the digital display indicates p2.0 which shoots upto 3 and then lock out again...

I have now drained down the system and refilled it to 1.5 bar and the same error is occuring.

E01 is central heating pressure too high, p2 rising to 3 suggests pressure building up and boiler locks out at 3.
