How do I get a "Condensation, Operation paused" message off my video camera?

We have a JVC Digital Video Camera Model # GR-D30U. We charged it appox. 2 hrs. but it was laying on a carpet that had been shampooed the day before. The carpet was dry to the touch, but i guess there was enough moisture to cause a problem. Now when we turn the camera on, we get a "Condensation, Operation paused" message and it does not go out. We have tried drying out the camera but it didn't help. Any info would be of a great help. THanks

Blow dry with a hair drier the inside and all over the body carefully for a few minutes from a distance of 8 inches so as not to ruin your cam. This will fix the condensation quickly with out resetting the cam. I did this with my cam efficiently. Goodluck!

I tried cleaning the moisture sensor with alcohol and that didn't work, I was forced to take it apart and unhook the jumper near the battery. That worked like a charm. Just did it five minutes ago, so we will see how long it lasts. Only took about 10 minutes, including reassembly, so if it lasts a year like this, I won't mind doing it again.

Same problem with my JVC-GRD30. Open your cam and you will see a master reset cable inside (at the back of the bat) unplug it for 5 minutes then put it back.

Hello Everyone:
I fixed my video condensation problem by doing the following:
1) used a vacuum cleaner to suck-out the inside and outside of the camera 2) leave the cassette door open for 1 full hour in a cool place within your home; 3) recharge battery to full status while cassette door is open. Note-I did have to reset previous camera settings.

Before trying to reset try the old fashioned blow dryer, low heat several mins several times.

Have you tried using a pen to press the reset button? I know this sounds lame, but, it is my best guess.
