fixing a cambridge audio A1 Special edition amplifier?
2 of the internal fuses in the amplifier have blown, i tried to get hold of the same fuses but the ones within the amplifier were T 4AL 250V i could not get hold of any of these time delay fuses however I managed to get some quick blow 4 amp 250 volt fuses which as far as i am aware are the standard amplifier fuses. When putting these in they blew instantly. Was this a bigger problem with the amplifier or simply the wrong fuses?
I put a car sub on my Cambridge audio amp and smoke came out now it doesn't work help me

I've just acquired a Camridge Audio A1 amp which was blowing the 4 amp PSU fuses all the time - I traced the fault to a blown pair of output transistors (TIP3055/TIP2955) on one channel. They'd blown short-circuit. As soon as I removed them the amp worked perfectly on the remaining channel.
