Why are my raditators not heating up but my hot water is?

I have an old back boiler. I recently had a leaking pipe which was fixed by a plumper. Now when i switch the heating on the water heats up but there doesn't seem to be any water running into the radiators therefore i have no heating. Can't get hold of my plumper. Has he forgotten to turn something back on?
