When I push the start button, all I get is a click and nothing turns over. I have replaced the battery twice in the last couple of weeks and charging system seems ok. Could it be the starter motor? and is this a DIY job?
If you get no spark when bridging the solenoid then there is no closed circuit current and the problem is the bushes in the starter motor

Get an old screwdriver(you are gona melt it)and use it to connect the two bolt on terminals on the solonoid(thing thats going click). This shorts across the unit and bridges current direct to starter motor(it'll spark like hell)If motor spins then you have a duff solonoid,if not I'd have the starter out to bench test.

Check the connections on the starter solenoid usually beside the battery box(just follow the red wire from the battery). Also make sure you are getting a good earth.
Have you checked the voltage accross the battery when the bike is running? it should be above 13.5 volts
