failed immobiliser Megane P Reg?

I came back from holiday to find that the immobiliser is not working for both keys I have. got the imobiliser test kit as indicated by Brian (Thanks). It asks for the key code. How do I get the key code? both key do not have a sticker inside as shown in figure 2.

Thanks Brian. I have the service book and I tried using the key number written there but got error. I have now paid 25 pounds to Renault dealer and obtained the emergency code. The question now is how do I resynch the FAB Keys which I have already changed their batteries? Ofcourse the fault could be in the IR receiver unit in the car. is there a way to test IR receiver?

I see you have also posted in 'Mr. Paul''s question,

I assume you've checked the key and receiver as stated there.

Have a look through any paperwork you got with the car. The key number(s) should be written in the service programme book.
I just dug out my service book to double check this before posting and discovered the immo bypass code written in it!!
Failing that it's a trip to the Renault dealer, I think they can get it from the info on your V5 ( at a price, of course) but phone a few first to check. They'll probably try to sell you a new key and immobiliser but they'll quote such a ridiculous price it'll be easy to resist!!
