My hotpoint upright freezer is in the shed. Recently a pool of water has formed on the top of the appliance.
The shed roof is not leaking!!

I think you'll find that the shed roof is leaking. Water finds its lowest level and rarely comes out where it goes in. Try putting a container like a kitchen bowl on top of the freezer. If that has water in it next time it rains then you've definitely got a leaking roof I'm afraid.
