It appears to be the switch that operates the inlet valve. This switch has two wires connecting it to the machine. I can measure 15vac on these wires without the switch operating. Is that the operating voltage for the switch? I dont want to change the switch if it's the voltage that is wrong. I can operate the switch manually by inserting a small bladed screwdriver into the switch and lifting a small red tag. Thanks.
just wasted 20 quid on a door switch, wife got a new washing machine, zanussi's in the big white mountain at the recycle centre, we live in a wasteful society, sorry roger.....
ps found the airline in the door switch came from the pump which tested fine?

i have the same problem i.e. won't start filling - but my door switch isn't operating properly - i have dissassembled it and it definitely isnt giving me a closed contact reading but it is quite a complicated arrangement with an air line on it? I intended to replace the door switch but the wife favours a new machine (no surprise there). I'll keep you posted if I resolve this.
