Hi I have a Hoover Electronic 220m 5.5kg washing machine. In the last couple of weeks it has stopped being able to fill with cold water. In order to do a wash I have to remove the cold water hose from the back of the washing machine and fill the tub by putting the hose in the tub itself. When it goes to the rinse stage I have to do the same thing.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
You either have a faulty water inlet valve or a fault on the control board which is not allowing the control board to switch on the inlet valve. Swap the wires from the control board to the hot & cold valves. Start the machine with hot wash selected - you should get cold water coming in. Then change to cold wash & you should get hot water coming in. If the cold valve works with the wires swapped then it is a control board fault. If it still does not work then change the valve.
