Hi, the belt will be too slack because you havent got it on the tensioner properly.
Looking from the back of the dryer the belt needs to go round the drum, round the right hand side of the tensioning pulley and then round the motor pulley. The motor has a spring and should be able to be pulled upwards and to the left.
