my hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer trips out my entire electricity in my house if i try and use it, I have checked the fuse in the plug but that is fine, please could somebody help
Im having this problem too! It trips out only when the heating element is needed but not when on the cold cycle (which obviously is of no use to me then). What do i need to do to fix this? Or does it require a call out?
Thanks

most likely its a 220v short to trip the main breaker. you can try selecting the No Heat Cycle so the heating element will not energize to determine if thats the cause. most of the motors are 120v. first I would unplug it, take the back off and look at the wires and heating coils for the obvious shorted broken, bad or melted bad wire or element

try switching it on with the timer set to approx 5 mins. If it doesn`t trip then the fault lies in the heating side.
