My ASKO model 1475 is not working correctly. How do I fix it?

Asko 1475 dishwasher - after finishing the cyles the dishwasher detergent is left all over the inside of the door and the dishes are not washed properly. Now I am getting a burning smell when running the dishwasher. What is wrong and how can I fix it? The dishwasher is approximately 7 years old. type DW953
