Any idea on this fault?

hello, my ariston margherita 2000 washer dryer is totally dead, i have check the plug top fuse and it's fine. the machine is not even indication it got the power on via the power on led. i have check all connections, removed the control card and it has no sign of burning or damaged components.

The problem was a defective transformer on the control card.

I was lucky to still have the machine under warrenty, it would have been a ÂŁ200 repair, ÂŁ100 for parts and ÂŁ100 for labour.

Just replacing parts at random simply to see if that cures the problem is a very time consuming & expensive exercise. Money spent for nothing if it doesn't cure the fault. You need to have the correct test equipment & knowledge to fault find the true cause. If you don't have either then I suggest you pay a service man to come & do it for you. May save you heaps in the long run.
