Vauxhall Corsa Grundig radio/cassette stuck in SAFE mode?
I have recently bought a Vauxhall Corsa P Reg and the garage had to replace the battery. Because of this the grundig radio has been locked. I have followed the unlock procedures IE - Turn ignition on hold AS etc.... but it is displaying SAFE. i do have the code for the radio but it isnt or hasnt ever displayed the CODE screen or any number infront of SAFE. it does beep when you press the AS button but only to show SAFE again...
Don't know what to try next?
To get rid of safe: turn engine on, hold AS for 5 seconds. turn radio on while still holding AS, hold for further 5 seconds at which point should bleep, release AS and enter code using 4 buttons (scrolls thru 0-9) then hols AS for final 5 seconds after which radio should come on

start the car, turn off the radio, hold down the as button and turn the radio on again. keep the as button in for 5 seconds till you hear a beep, then take your finger off the ass button and wait 2 seconds. Then you can type the code in.
