The main board needs to be replaced to rectify this, if it's under warranty then great, of not then I suggest you ring your local Indesit repair specialist and they will quote you for the job

I have the same washing machine and the exact same problem...i dont think there is a way to turn it off. My nephew who is 18 months old keeps pressing the button and it starts a cycle when on the standby logo on the turning knob (you will know what i mean!!)
