technosonic LCD1908 TV?

I have the model listed which appears to be dead, with a feint ticking noise from the power supply area, anybody aware of a stock fault or suspect component causing this problem. Thanks in anticipation.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT ITS NOT THE TRANSFORMER ITS THE BLUE CERAMIC CAPACITORS ONE IS MARKED 103M-1KV AND THE OTHER IS AT THE SIDE OF THE TRANSFORMER REPLACE BOTH AND THAT SHOULD FIX IT.

I have the same problem - only 5 moinths after i have bought it but cannot find my reciept.
Its definitely the switch/transformer. Any ideas on where to get a replacement part?

Hi, I have the same problem, the noise appears to be coming from the transformer just below the heat sink at the top of the power circuit, as yet, not been able to find a replacement part.
Reading in other places seems to be quite a common occurance
