Indesit Washing machine Model W123?

indesit washing machine - model W123
When using my machine, on number 4 / 8. then again any programme it works for about 5-10mins feels up with water then stops, and the dial turns round clicking, & I cant get the thing to reset. as soon as i put it back on again it does the same thing.
is this a normal fault with these machine,
it has done it before & ive left in for 5 mins then its been fine, but it has been doing this for 2 days now. Say it is 5 years old and ive never how a problem with it before apart from it always sounds like its going to take off when it spins.

Any advise would be much appreciated
