gardtec 300 series?

We have a gardtec 300 series. The outside alarm goes off for 20 minutes for no apparant reason- as its not set, at irregular intervals. Does anyone no how to fix this as the user guide doesn't address the issue? Or how to stop the alarm once it goes off without having to wait the 20 minutes that it runs for? Thanks
