how do i put the deck belt on a model#917 craftsman riding mower?

i have a model#917 craftsman riding mower and i have no idea on how to put the new deck belt on. this is the belt that goes from the engine pully to the blade pullys

The diagram under the foot rest is for the drive belt, not the deck belt. The V side of the belt goes around the spindle pulleys that have the V in them, and the flat side of the belt runs on the idler pulleys that are flat. At the spindle pulleys the belt has to slip behind the blade brake levers.

You can look on deck and on side step of tractor alot of times there is a diagram of belt routing..........it will be on bottom side of step.
But if ya look ya can find a owners manual on the internet ...
