I recently purchased a creative zen x-fi, and it was working fine until I went to charge it. I noticed during midcharge that the sidelight had turned off, and the screen was no longer displaying that my zen was being charged. I immediately took out the plug and found my zen to be overly warm. When I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't even light up. I plugged it back in, and nothing. Has the battery been fried?! Help!!
just press the reset button, it doesn't do anything to you music. I just did mine now.

I'm also having the same problem. I didn't notice mine over heating.... maybe i left it on all night? Anyway, i woke up this morning, no light, didn't turn on, nothing happens when i plug it into USB, going to check Creative's website for solution.

I have a 2 year warranty, that is still in effect. I have a RMA# 8JUL87763. I don't know what the address to send to for repair.
