what are the timing settings on a ford 2.5 turbo diesel engine? i have just fitted a replacement pump from it being a fly by wire to a cable as no one could fix the fly by wire from going into limp mode. the both pumps have a bit of play in the timing part of the mounting bolts on the pump so how do you know where to position it? I desperately need to sort this out. help!
hi garry you should have the timing pin that goes right through into the engine front plate this should be at about 12 o'clock. the bolts in the pump pulley should be in the middle and not to either side
