how can i fix my [vhs video tape] k6-7(LID) 142030826MW T-65 (BOTTOM)?

i recently bought a brand new vhs video tape and the screen is all fuzzy (unseeable) but the speach is coming through the speakers , but sounds slower than it should be, as if the tape itself isnt moving fast enough.
I have tried all my other really old videos but they all work o.k.
I must admit it is an old video player but i've never had a problem and have the heads cleaned regularly. The casing inside seems very loose and can feel the inner wheels shaking about, my other vhs video tapes do this but not as much. i've had this tape imported from America (i think) to the u.k. And, waited so long to watch this documentary (4 years) Please could you help me rather than send it back. Basically the tape seems to play too slow and no picture comes up, although you 'can' tell somethings trying to
come through. I' VE TRIED ALL MY OTHER VIDEOS AND THEY WORK FINE...
The item is a documentary on turntablism and I really could do with it for my music course.
Very grateful thanks. P.S on the underneath of the tape cover it says:
"k6-7" & on the bottom of the vhs tape it says: 142030826MW T-65. "THANKYOU V. MUCH.."

USA and UK use different colour standards and timebase synchronising speeds. USA NTSC @ 60Hz; UK PAL @ 50Hz.
That difference will cause both colour and speed incompatibilty playing back a USA recording on and old UK video recorder.

You will need a VCR with NTSC playback capability.
It will decode the colour correctly and also adjust the speed. You will also need a TV with NTSC or PAL 60 switching.

Most modern TV are NTSC and PAL compatible, an older TV may not be.

Some services are also available to convert for you. eg..
