veritas alarm tamper light on?

why does my house alam keep going off when it not set ????????????

the alarm keeps going off wether set or not, the tamper light comes on and displayers tamper.
Inside the box 2 wires black and white appear to be loose and one has a label on saying Tamp. and gives a number. could the PIR be faulty?
Please could you advise white the problem could be? many Thanks

open the veritas panel, the two tamper connections are
well marked as TAMP.
remove the wire,s from the two connections, cut 2 inch from one of the wires, and connect it betweew, the two TAMP terminals, this will clear the Tamper Light, and when the system is set it will protect itself, tamper is for protecting the system when it is turn off, it do,s not need it.
