how do i fix broke lawn mower pull cord?

i have a broken pull cord on our lawn mower,so we cant start it. It is a Vantage 3.5 We tryed to rewind the cord with no results.

There's a good chance the rewind spring has broken, or has slipped out of it's retaining notch. It may need to be replaced as well. It can be very trying to reassemble.

You will need to pull the cover off and rewind the return spring and then install pull rope and let the spring pull it back into the housing ..........cAN BE TRICKY
