Nokia N95 8gb Select button?

Hi, My Nokia N95 8gb broke today, I dropped it down the stairs and the slide cover broke off and the cable attaching it to the phone snapped. So i cant use the main buttons. I've got a replacement on the way but want to try and backup my stuff from the phone. I connected the phone to my tv so i cold see the screen and plugged in the usb cable into my laptop but it pops up saying select mode. I cant do that as the main buttons dont work. Does anyone know of any other way i can tell it to use the pc suite mode or should i just give up? Thanks for your help in advance
