has the machine gone back into sew mode,check the drop feed device on your machine is not wrongly set,i dont know delta but try looking at the stitch length regulator knob or if all else fails try reading the manual.................best of luck jo

Check the stitch length, make sure you have enough pressure on the foot, if you have a drop feed lever or dial make sure it is up.
