Zanussi Washer (FJ1093) expert answer now needed please?

Hi, I have a problem with my Zanussi Washer. The door light does not come on when trying to do any mode of operation and door interlock is not functioning. I have changed the door interlock switch with no improvement. I have tried shorting across the door interlock contacts and have found that the machine will operate any mode when this is done. The problem must therefore be due to an electrical feed to the door interlock. Does anyone know where this is from (I am suspecting pressure switch perhaps? but dont know where this is). (I am a qualified electro/mech engineer but unfamiliar with washers)

Ok the plot thickens with this one. I tried a wash the the interlock over ridden and the machine gets part way through the was and stops. I drained it using the drain cycle ok and then reconnected the new door interlock. This had no improvement in that the machine will still not run and the door light will not come on. I tried blowing down the pressure switch pipes of which there are three! and they seem to be clear. I have inspected the pipes to the pressure switches and they appear to be sound however I found it difficult to inspect them at the opposite end to the Pressure switches so I cannot be completely sure. I think I really need a diagram now for this otherwise I will be ripping the machine apart to trace it! Any thoughts other than the one I am now thinking of just buying a new machine as I want to crack this one out of curiousity. Cheers

Door catch is fine. I've been advised from an ex washer engineer that it is usually a blockage in the Pressure switch pipe that causes this as there is no voltage to the door interlock. He also told me that either blow back down the pipes first to clear it (which is difficult to access) or (if I can short out the interlock) run a cycle without powder to see if it will clear the blockage. Also pointed out that a split pressure pipe can also stop the switches working. I've just left it running on a hot cycle to see how it goes. Thanks

is the door pecker that goes into the door interlock in good condition and pushing the bar across on the door interlock when door is closed?.feed comes from a contact on the timer but its a while since i have been involved with one of these so not sure which one
