Zanussi Dishwasher won't re-start after reset anti-flood switch?
Hi, My 14 month old Zanussi ZDF231 dishwasher stopped part way through a cycle indicating the anit-flood switch had tripped. I followed advice on here to empty the bottom tray and discovered the thermal sensor in the sump had shifted allowing water to leak. With this now all replaced, emptied & dried out the dishwasher won't start any program. When selected & started it sounds like it's trying to pump / open a solenoid but humming like it's stuck & no water let in. Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks
I had the same problem but have done all the things mentioned on this post and it has not made a difference

After a 2nd investigation, it looked like there was a small float device in the water inlet / salt softener unit that was stuck high. Maybe not allowing the water to re-fill? I tapped the unit until it dropped down, let the unit re-run and it worked ever since.

Thanks for your suggestion CK. I'm sure I had I tried that with no apparent success. I should have said on re-starting the programme, the noise is present for approx 20 seconds then stops with nothing happening. May be relevant or not? Any further help gratefully appreciated.
