Start Up Menu?

How can I remove a programme from starting up every time I turn my pc on and remove it from the right-hand systems tray

Depending on the program, there are two likely possibilities:

First, click on your [Start] button and select "Run"
Type in "msconfig" without the quotes and navigate
to the "Startup" tab. Try to find the program here and
uncheck the box next to it.

If the program isn't there, we can try another option: Click the [Start] button and Right click on "Programs"
From the menu, select "Open" This will open Windows
Explorer viewing the correct folder in your Start Menu.
Find the "Startup" folder and open it. If you don't see
the folder, click "Tools" on the top menu and select
"Folder Options" and navigate to the "View" tab. Click
the radio button next to "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
and hit the [Ok] button. Now you should see the
"Startup" folder. Select the shortcut to your program
and delete it. If you don't see this, repeat this paragraph
and select "Open all Users" instead of "Open" when right
clicking on "Programs" in the start menu.**

**The difference here is between users. Microsoft Windows differentiates between user accounts and will sometimes start up a program only for one user ("Open") or will start up for all users that work with the computer ("Open all Users").
