Diane, It looks like the ffd has gone on the oven. The gas that is passing through now is like a "pilot" it heats up a probe filled with a fluid that then expands and opens the ffd fully . New ffd should cost about £25.00 but will need CORGI engineer to do job that will probably treble the price
