my door has a lever/lever type door handle which means it can be opened from outside unless the handle has been lifted and the key turned, I'd like to change it to a lever/pad handle so that it can't be opened from outside without a key, is it simply just a case of buying and fitting new handles or is there more involved.
most locks dont function unless handle is lifted to lock position, then turn key to lock, and to open, turn key then push handle down, but there is a few that do,so unles you have one that dosnt need an outside handle then its a straight swap for inside handle outside pad but if yours isnt one of these then you would have to change lockstrip.hope this helps
