I have just moved into a house with a Cannon New Harvest gas cooker that should have an ignition button on the middle between the knobs but it busted.. in fact no button just a stub. Can I mend this or am I looking forward to a future of matches or igniters?

I have recently moved into a flat with the cannon new harvest gas cooker. It has been connected to the gas supply but I cant find any electric leads to connect the ignition. I can use the top burners with a lighter but unable to use grill and oven below without ignition. PLEASE HELP.

To be honest Rosie it will cost a fair few quid to put right so i would just carry on using matches.
