PLEEEASE HELP I have a ford transit tipper 2.5 diesel m reg?

hi I have a ford transit tipper 2.5 diesel m reg, what it is for the past couple of weeks i have had to jump start my van nearly every day, fuses have been blowing and winder wipers, indicators, lights stopped working etc etc thought it was due tot the cold weather and the fact my battery was pants, it got to the point where if I turned of the engine I would need to get another jump start before I was going anywhere, but just bought another battery and it started fine for a good couple of hours and I was able to turn the engine of and on without any problems and all the wipers, indicators etc started working again, anyway I was on my way home from a hard days work a couple of hours later and just as I was about to go onto the motor way my van decided to just die, so I was blocking everyone, and I just don’t have a clue what it could be, please help
