Problems with Immboliser?

I have a 1.2 3door, x reg clio. The engine will not start due to the immboliser. I was told by Renault, that if water had leaked through the aerial then I would need new transponder. I have taken the roof light beneath the aerial out and there is just a wire with a small clip, that conects to the light. I don't know what a transponder looks like or where it is in mycar?
have tried the instructions on this website http://renaulthelp.110mb.com/ImmBypass.html#CarType but when i tried enter the code by counting number of flashes,it didn't work, and the flasing did not slow down.

Does anyone have any suggestions before i take it to adealer, would bevery grateful!thanks
