My Rosieres gas oven cannot be set any lower than 340F/170C and I need much lower temperatures for many of my baking needs. In my 50 years of baking, I have owned many gas ovens, and this is the first time I have seen one with this limited temperature range. Is this the norm these days? If so, how can I bake in it? The salesman told me to cook with the oven door open!
To be fair, I should comment that the company settled my problem to my great satisfaction, by taking back what was for me a very unsuitable oven. I was able to find another brand which suits my needs perfectly.
