How can I fix my Sanyo Bagless Upright Vacuum ?

The vacuum works fine when using nozzle but when using it as an upright it does not pick up and is very very noisy.

Check around the brush pickup area something may be stuck after the brush stopping the machine sucking. Machine is sucking when using the wand because machine uses another port or hole when vertical compared to (when you vacuum the floor cranked over the other port hole is exposed and brought into operation. )
